Rick Biddle
MANAGING DIRECTOR

Rick Biddle founded Relevant Strategies & Solutions in 2019, drawing on decades of experience to deliver next-generation planning services rooted in bold thinking and inspired leadership. With mission-driven focus, an emphasis on relationship building, and a nuanced understanding of the challenges facing the nonprofit world today, Rick helps organizations set and achieve ambitious goals and establish sound financial practices.
While working with all types of nonprofits across the nation, including schools, cultural attractions, and green space initiatives, Rick has developed remarkable expertise with museums and zoos. Since 1992, Rick has developed and provided oversight for planning projects for more than 100 AZA (Association of Zoos & Aquariums) accredited institutions with operating budgets ranging from less than $1 million to well over $100 million.
Rick is recognized as a leading management and planning resource in public/private partnerships and governance, strategic and business planning, and executive search. Organizations regularly seek Rick’s knowledge, trusted counsel, and partnership as they develop strategies to proactively manage change in a way that ensures their long-term sustainability and success.
Prior to his career in consulting, Rick served for 11 years as chief operating officer of the Zoological Society of Philadelphia, America’s first zoo. He has a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University. Rick lives with his wife Ann in Haddonfield, New Jersey. They enjoy spending time with their sons Thomas and Christopher and his wife Tayler.
